Founded in 1935, Enville is one of the finest examples of heathland golf in the UK. The facilities were gradually extended over a period of years until 1983, when two eighteen hole courses were completed. 2010 saw the addition of one of the finest most extensive practice facilities in the Midlands.
The Highgate and Lodge courses are a mixture of picturesque heathland and majestic woodland. From 2007 to 2011 our Highgate course was used by the R & A for Regional Open Qualifying. In 2014 we hosted the EGU Boys U14’s Reid Trophy, 2017 the Girls’ British Open Amateur Championship and from 2020 to 2023 have been used for the R&A girls U16 Amateur Championship. In 2023 we will host England Golfs Logan Trophy.
The tee settings provide a challenge to golfers of all standards. We are ranked in the Englands top 100 courses All this backed up with a truly warm and friendly welcome.
The Clubhouse and Spike Bar areas are open from 7.00am each day. A Rijo coffee machine is operational at all times. Our well stocked bars open at 11.00am each day and we have a wide range of local ales and beers including guest beers and the locally brewed award winning Enville Ale.
Our food and dining service is available from 10.00 am each day. Earlier breakfast service is available by prior arrangement. On competition days breakfast service is always available at least 30 minutes before the first tee. Throughout the winter months Sunday lunch is available and at least once per month during the summer season. Bar snacks and meals from our “Specials Board” are available daily.
