Many a bloody battle has been recorded in the history of the hills of the Scottish Borders. However, today much gentler conflicts play out on the fairways and greens of Duns Golf Club.
Located in the foothills of the Lammermuir Hills, Duns offers todays golfers a true and fair test on a course laid out against most beautiful of Scottish Border backdrops. A one hour drive from Edinburgh and little more from Newcastle, Duns is a perfect fit for golfers from both sides of the border.
The course is widely admired for its beautiful Scottish Borders setting providing spectacular scenery stretching out over the Tweed valley to the Cheviot Hills in Northumberland. It is recognised as offering a challenging, yet fair and enjoyable test to all levels of golfer. If you are visiting the Scottish Borders, then this is a must play course.
Our ethos is to offer our members, guests and visitors a pleasurable golfing experience accompanied at all times by an amicable and welcoming environment.
The Club has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere which attracts members of all ages and golfing abilities. There are thriving sections for Ladies, Gents, Seniors and Juniors to enjoy regular and varied competitions, with ample opportunity too for those less competitive leisure golfers. On the social side of things, regular fun charity events are run by our ‘Putts and Pints Crew’.
Completed in 2006, our Clubhouse has well appointed facilities including changing areas, a bar and licensed restaurant. There is a terrace overlooking the 18th green where members, visitors and friends can mingle whilst watching the last few shots of golfers finishing their round.
Sit back and enjoy a drink wherever it suits you, inside or out. Our caterers provide an ever changing menu of sandwiches, snacks and meals – including that morning bacon roll before hitting the course.
Also available for hire, The Clubhouse has hosted all kinds of family events from hatched and matched to despatched, as well as quiz nights, race nights and gin tastings.
