Cleveland Golf Club was established in 1887, our course is the only true Championship links, and also the Oldest Course in the County of Yorkshire. Over the clubs history, it is known that a few architects have had involvement in the design of the golf course, the most famous being Old Tom Morris, Harry S Colt, and then in 2000 Donald Steel, who designed three new holes.
In 2007 the club hosted the English Golf Union County Finals, and many other County and Professional events, and is the home to the Amateur scratch competition the Cleveland Salver. In August 2011, the club hosted the Yorkshire County Team Championship. In the August of 2017, we held the prestigious Yorkshire Amateur Championship, where Alex Fitzpatrick was victorious, during the Championship, Alex shot Course Record 62 on his way to victory.
Our club house has outstanding views, you may choose to take a table in our new extension overlooking the challenging 1st and 18th holes or perhaps a table overlooking the beautiful northern coastline. Whether you require a full meal or just a light bite, you will be greeted by our very pleasant, hospitable staff who are more than willing to go the extra mile for our guests.
