The water is low in places due to the very dry summer, but it's easily passable and there are lots a great places to stop for a picnic or a swim. The first three or so miles of the trip was pretty much a bunch of stop and go with me getting out to push the canoe because it was so shallow and we continually kept getting stuck on the rocks. Rather than getting mad, they played along with the name-calling. Ultimately, one of them needed professional medical attention and stitches. Went here for the first time since the Cincy places were all closed due to river conditions. The river current had a good pace that helped with the forward motion, so, paddling never got to strenuous and the few small rapids constantly made for new experiences to keep the whole trip interesting. All you do is pull up on the landing area and take your oars and life jackets to the trailer and drop them off. The attackers had bloody knuckles by the end of the ordeal; my friends had bruises and lacerations all over their faces. There is a phone available if the bus is not there within a few minutes. I assume they actively maintain the river and clean debris. There is a coupon in the yellow pages that will give you buy one canoe, get one free on the weekdays and $6 off a canoe on the weekends.The people at the front desk were not very helpful. I recommend reserving a slot ahead of time as you'll save a little bit of money. It is about a 7 mile trip and both times it took us about 3 hours doing a relaxing trip down the river with minimal paddling and a lot of floating. This is such a great place I can see spending several days here and working in other daily activities such as Kings Island, etc. Morgan's Canoeing is not LGBT-friendly. ;).
